Selling Tips and Pointers

  • ALWAYS protect your QR code. It is used to bill your account. If others start using it, erroneous billing my result…

  • How to successfully sell (BEST Practices):

  1. Photograph and list your item(s) as you normally would. Nimble Station is platform-neutral (Facebook Marketplace, Offerup, Craigslist, etc).

  2. When someone expresses interest, find out how they would like to pay, and when they would like to pick up.

  3. Encourage Buyers to not use cash. We find that apps such as Venmo, Paypal, Apple Cash, etc, work well.

  4. If a Buyer insists on using cash, and you are willing to take the risk, see our Cash Transaction Best Practices page.

  5. Once a Buyer commits, deposit the item(s) for sale in a Nimble Station. At the Station kiosk, search for your own name and select the one that has “Buyer 1” after the last name. For example, if your name is Casey Smith, choose “Casey Smith Buyer 1” on the kiosk.) Note: As a registered user, you begin with three additional recipient accounts so that you can support up to three transactions at a time with three different Buyers.

  6. After you select a recipient (“Casey Smith Buyer 1”), a cubby door will open. Place the item(s) inside and take a photograph with the door open showing the item inside.

  7. Once you close the cubby door, you will receive a notification. It will look like this:

Casey Smith Buyer 1, You have 1 Item(s) at 1329 Alum Spring Rd, Spotsylvania, VA. \n\nGet QR code to scan - https://smiotaapps.com/smiota/views/app/qr.jsp?c=12345 or enter this passcode to get your package(s) - 12345

    Thanks for using Biquix!

To unsubscribe from text notifications, reply "STOP". You may continue to receive notifications via email.

  8. Copy the notification text and paste it into a message for the Buyer. Edit it to look like this:

You have 1 Item(s) at 1329 Alum Spring Rd, Spotsylvania, VA. \n\nGet QR code to scan - https://smiotaapps.com/smiota/views/app/qr.jsp?c=12345 or enter this passcode to get your package(s) - 12345

  9. Add the photograph of the item(s) inside the cubby to your text message. Your text message now has the code that the Buyer can use to get their item, as well as the location and a picture of the item they are picking up.

  10. If a Buyer does not want the item, they can simply leave it in the Station. As the Seller and owner of the item, you will need to retrieve it in order to reduce usage charges on your account.

  11. To sell to more than one Buyer at a time, use the same process but be sure to use choose different recipients at the kiosk. For example, if you are placing a second item in the Station for a second Buyer, use “Casey Smith Buyer 2”. This will provide a different code so that Buyer 1 and Buyer 2 each have their own unique codes. If you require more than three additional recipient accounts, let us know and we will add them.

  12. Do what you can to minimize the time that a cubby is in use. Even though hourly charges are low, they accumulate over time.
